Vampire with awesome style!!!

I am, of course, a gymongous Twilight fan. I mean, who isn't these days?! Well, I read the books first. I am not as impressed with the movies, and think they could be a little better, and truer to the book, But, i love the movies and kristen stewart as bella (duh!!).  Until recently, I havent put much effort into noticing alice cullen as much as I have the other characters. When I decided that my friends and I were going to be the cullens for halloween, I also decided, that even though i love kstew and love bella, I would be alice.  My friend kristen would make a better bella than alice, so...I started researching alice cullen and what her style is like. Now, when I say that my friends and I are going to be the cullens, i do mean, we will be the cullens. to the tee! We go all out for halloween! 2 years ago we were the wizard of oz crew, sans dorothy. (she got sick!) We were most certainly the hit at the party! everyone loved our awesome costumes!

Once I really started researching alice's style i realized that she was one vampire with a really cool style. I know they talk about her being a fashionista in the book, but like i said, my attentions to this point were mostly on bella and of course edward! I have accumulated a couple of favorite alice looks and am having trouble deciding on which to choose. Whichever I chose, I want to be as close to the book alice as possible! Here are my faves...Which is your favorite!?!?

I love this vest and shirt combo! paired with leggings and flats, this look would be hott, but will i look dressed up? or normal?!?

This is my #1 pick but the gorgeous DVF dress she wore is no longer available! I would loooove to recreate this look!
not much of this outfit can be seen in this photo, but i love the overcoat and scarf paired with leggings, vest and ruffled shirt!
So here are my top 3 pics! Hopefully I can decide soon and start working! I will post pics as soon as I have an outfit and let you know where I got it and how much! the biggest challenge will be the wig! my hair is 10 times longer than alices! A wig will be a must im assuming!

St. Lucia was probably the most gorgeous place I have ever been to!Of course my photog skills are lacking, and don't capture it's real beauty! But,  It was like Hawaii came to the Caribbean, if you can imagine! We went for our honeymoon and hope to go back for our 5th Anni!!!

My Favorite Fashion Inspirations!!

I love fashion of all kinds and fashionistas of all styles, but there are a few celebrities that inspire me more than others! I can't get enough of their particular styles!! Here are my absolute favorites that influence my style regularly!

1. Kate Beckinsale! I love her chic/classy/elegant look. She knows her style and never strays far from it! I admire someone that can look so chic and timeless in anything they wear!

2. Kristen Stewart! Ive talked about her style in past posts, and it is no secret how i adore this girl and her unique/laid back/rocker-grunge style! I can't seem to pull it off as well as her, but I sure try!

3.  Kourtney Kardashian! Kim is the more popular fashionista, but I think that Kourtney is the most fashionable! She always looks good in anything she wears! Her cute/glamorous/contemporary style is always exciting to re-create!

Day 25 challenge

ok, so i am cheating a little with this challenge. I skipped day 24 because it asked me to show a photo of something that means alot to me. well, i have pretty much covered that in a few other challenges. My family, music, my husband, dogs...etc. so i skipped it! NOW, on to day 25!

Day 25 – What’s in your purse?

many things are in my purse, some normal, some strange! so here they are!

i rarely go anywhere without this. you  never know when you might need something to read!

i always carry a coach wristlet inside my purse, to match the outfit i  am wearing, just in case i dont wanna lug my purse inside!
i always carry a pair of glasses so i can see if i loose a contact lens!
i carry this so i can always have a camera around for fun photos!
this is a must, of course!

of course a cell is a must!!
these are my faves!

So, other than some trash, notes, keys, and a few other little things, these are my most important must have items in my purse!

day 22 challenge!

Day 22 – A letter to someone who has hurt you recently.

This is a tough one. No one (thankfully!) has hurt me anytime recently. I can, however, write a humerous letter to someone who has not hurt me really, but made me kind of mad! I am a little too obsessed with certain celebs! I cant help it! They are so not normal, and I love to read about their lives! So, here goes.

Dear Joe Jonas,

I am so shocked by your decision to date Ashley Greene. I am a huge twilight fan but really, Ashley Greene?? I saw pics of you two today on MSN.com and I thought that, when I heard this rumor a few months ago, that it was just that. A RUMOR.  I really hope you find another nice wholesome girl. I fear that Ashley might not be the one for you. Thanks for your time

Your (way to old for it) fan,
Sarah.

So, obviously my nephew and his love for the jonas brothers has rubbed off on me. If I were to be a cougar, Joe Jonas would be my pick for sure! What a doll! And BTW, my nephew just wants to be a rockstar, he's six. (no weridness there)

day 21 challenge!!

Day 21 – A photo of something that makes you happy.

There are alot of things that make me happy. I could never just choose 1 photo ...here are a few!

My besties make me happy!!!

This is my Sadie Dog, the best dog in the world!

This is where my family has christmas and family gatherings! It is probably my most favorite place ever becase I know that everyone closest to me will be there, anytime I go!
I love my whole family (pictured in an older post) but these are my favorites! (shhh..dont tell!) pictured are my nephews and my cousin's little girl, who is more like a niece! arent they gorgeous!!!?

Deal of the week!!!!

I am so excited about my awesome little leggings outfit! I just ordered it from VS online and cannot wait for it to arrive! For $30, this outfit includes the tunic and leggings. There are different colors to choose from, but I chose the darker gray leggings and black tunic. I also, for $15, ordered the tunic in the darker gray color! Unfortunatly, I cannot post the pic from the website, but you can follow this link to see the entire oufit!!!

Day 20 challenge

Day 20 – The meaning behind your blog name.

Dress Your Best...for less and more!!!
This blog was created on a whim actually. Ive had a few friends tell me that they love my style and wanted tips on how to achieve the looks i wear. When I told them how inexpensive most of my outfits and accessories actually were, they couldnt believe it. So, joining the blog world, i created this blog, with the name Dress your best for less, and more. I think that everyone should always dress their best-as i often say-you are what you wear! dont give people the wrong impression about yourself by wearing something that you didnt put a little time and effort into. That being said, dressing you best doesnt mean spending a ton! you can look great in an outfit from walmart, as long as you think it through and dont just throw an outfit together. So, with all that, i decided that, my love of music, makeup and other werid obsessions needed to be added to the mix. I added the "and more" part for those reason! That way, if im off the fashion subject a little, its ok cuz its the "and more" part!! So, there you go. The reason behind my blog name is as simple as that! have a lovely day!

day 18 challenge

Day 18 – Something you crave a lot.

i couldnt live without it

"Must Have This in Your Closet...."

I decided, while working on my last post, that I need to do a post, and periodical posts, sharing my idea of "Must Have This in Your Closet..."  I also decided, hopefully, that I am going to photograph my "Must Haves" so that you will have a visual of what I am speaking of! Now, I say hopefully because, I have a 4 year old Nikon Cool pix camera, that is 1-small, 2-has a bad flash, and 3- I'm terrible at taking pics with it. My Husband has a nicer, bigger, camera, but it always stays in his truck so he can see his trail camera pics! (hes an avid hunter)So, I will try to take the pics of the "Must Haves" to where you can actually see it and know what it is! For Now, here are a few items that I cannot live without. They are my go to pieces when I have nothing else to wear, or need a cute/trendy outfit in a flash!

Black and Brown classic sandals are a must. Theses are my black ones. They will go with any outfit I wear, and any style of pant or skirt! They really look good with shorts too! I got them from target for 12.99!

Everyone needs a good pair of black pumps. These not only go well with skirts and dresses, but they also go great with skinny jeans! I got these from my mom. She didn't like the way they pinched her toe, but for me they are super comfy-she got them at Dillard's!

A good pair of flats go with many of my outfits summer, fall, spring, and winter! I chose to show these because zebra is one of my faves right now! I got these this past spring at target for 9.99! I also have some black and brown flats! I never pay more than $10 though!

I love love accent jackets! I have one long sleeved one-this one- that I pair with a cute tank or cami in the fall and winter! It is an awesome way to pull a look in no time at all! Wear it with jeans and some cute shoes and you are set! It came from banana Rep. about 4 years ago and Ive worn it like crazy!

Scarves!!! Oh, I love them! I have many, But this is my go to scarf. I can wear it with a long sleeved black tee, short sleeved black tee, or a black tank and I have a low key, trendy look and feel super comfy! it is great for fall, winter, and spring! It looks great with jeans!

This was my very first short-sleeved accent jacket! I bought this a few months ago at Body Central! it was 16.99. I have worn this with a long black tank and leggings, jeans and cami, and also with a cute brown skirt and brown cami! I am glad i purchased it!

The black tank! I cant count how many times Ive worn one of these with jeans and a scarf, jeans and a cardigan, jeans and just the tank.....the list goes one! I got this at walmart for $4 ! I actually have about 6 different colors in the same tank, but prefer the black because its so classic and trendy!

Cardigans are a great easy look! Throw it on with a tank ,cami, or tee and have a look that is timeless and trendy! I wear mine with skinny jeans and cute sandals or throw it on over a strapless dress in the fall and spring. I prefer 3/4 sleeves, like this one, over long sleeves.  I got this one at Belk in the spring for 14.99!

silver bracelets! Without these, I would be doomed! I can throw on a black or gray tee and put on my shiny bracelets and some cute earrings and feel fab! They dress any outfit up!! I love love them! I got these from Lia Sophia! They were free, because I hosted a show and it sold enough to get them all!

An over sized blingy watch is such a good way to accessorize! I have recently gotten into the white watch thing and thought this one would go better than an all white one, with my silver bracelets and wedding rings! I love the bulky, gaudy look that this, paired with the bracelets from above give!!! I also wear it by itself ! I got this at kohl's for 14.99! I dont like spending a lot on watches because I get tired of them so easily!

My last must have for today would be Rainbows!!! These things are a Godsend! I can wear these with anything! I try not too, but its hard! They are comfy and cute! I have a pair without the bling and wear those just as much! When I am in a rush and cant decided which shoes to wear, these or the regular ones are always my #1 pick!!

What are some of your favorite "Must Have This in Your Closet"??!  If you don't have any of these items, try one out, and let me know how it works!

***Do your best, to dress for less!! :)***

turtleneck, dress for less, re-creations!!!!!

As promised from before, here are a few of my favorite turtleneck looks from this fall's trends, for less! And, p.s., because of the dress for less deal, i cannot promise that any of these looks will be designer, or something you can purchase from a mall. Living in an extremely small town/county/and even tri-county area, I am forced to shop at places i vowed never to shop at! But, its ok, i have come to terms with it, and actually enjoy my little shopping adventures at these "forbidden places." (as i used to call them in my more younger, naive days!) So, I hope you enjoy!!!

I love love kate beckinsale and have decided to re-create this look, in addition to my other fall faves! Here, she is wearing a forever 21 ruffled leather moto jacket, black turtleneck, gray mini-skirt and black tights. I am going to re-create with different shoes. Here white heels are a no for me. I would rather have seen some gray or black. The white sticks out to much for my taste and takes away from the rest of the chic outfit!

Here is my look for less!

Faux Leather Ruffle Jacket

Juniors Knit Bandage Skirt

Jacket: wet seal-$27.99, Skirt-$10.00-walmart.com, Turtleneck-Belk $21.00, Shoes-$20.00- kmart. Not pictured-black tights (these can be found at walmart, target, and kmart for less than $10)

I know that this jacket is a little pricey, something I try not to buy a lot of. It is good to find 2-3 accent jackets that you know will look good with most of your outfits. That way, you aren't spending a ton, and having 10 or more different jackets! This one can be worn with jeans, skirts, leggings, and any other combo you can think of! It is very versatile!

****Looks from my previous blog!!! Turtleneck combos!****

Look #2 :

Charmeuse Zebra Skirt
This $18.99 skirt with the black turtleneck from above, tucked in, will  look great! Pair them with black boots or heels that you already have, and some tights or leggings! for the fringed belt look, find a black scarf and tie it loosely around the waist!

Look #1:

Simply Vera Vera Wang Brushstroke Skirt                    axcess Pointelle Ribbed Turtleneck SweaterApt. 9 Opaque Microfiber Control-Top Tights

Candie's Prom Platform Dress Sandals
This entire outfit comes from Kohl's....Total cost is $70. This is a little more in cost than I would like, but the shoes were awesome and almost exactly like the runway ones! (only$40) You could also find a gray turtlneck for cheap and wear it with this outfit! I am trying to stick with the same one as much as possible!

Hope you like my re-creations! I have decided, because of this post, to do a "must have this in your closet" post soon. There are soooo very many things that I have in my closet that are used in many of my outfits. I know wearing the same thing 100 times sucks sometimes, but when you are dressing for less, repition is cheap and handy! Besides, only you know how many times you really wear it! When you dont wear it the same way, with the same thing everytime, no one ever notices!

Until next time.....Do your best, to dress for less!!!!! :)
